Anne Frances Orlando, 80, died peacefully on Nov. 22 in her Manhasset home surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her husband, Edward, brother John Begley, sister in laws Gerda, Georgia and Jennie and her three children, Edward Orlando, Jr., Sharon McCormack and Donna Travers. She was predeceased by her youngest child, Thomas Orlando, in 2003. She was also the proud and beloved grandmother of Elizabeth, Emily-Anne, Thomas, Brian, Mary Claire, Katherine Anne, and Eric and great-grandmother to Jaeda Lynne. She is also survived by many loving friends.
Anne was always an involved member of her community. In her earlier years, she was an extremely active member of the Ecumenical Committee in Bayside, New York. She was also a leader and executive council member of the Girl Scouts of America. In Manhasset, she was secretary to the Strathmore Women’s Club and also very involved with the Manhasset Civic Association.
Funeral mass was celebrated on Tuesday, Nov. 26 at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, 1300 Northern Boulevard, Manhasset, NY.
