Showing real strength for the 2013-2014 season, the Hicksville Varsity Girls Swim and Diving team finished at 5-3 in the conference. This is the most girls that have earned post season honors in the last eight years. Individually the girls have shown marked improvements. Senior Alessandra Riccio dropped 10 seconds in the 200 IM while junior Hunter Isnardi reduced her time from 8:10.09 to 7:35.29 in the 500 freestyle.
The most recent additions, eigth graders Valentina Petruso and Gabriella Niculescu, were a huge asset to the team. Both girls swam in the A relay team the entire season. Hicksville won the Conference 200 Medley Relay with a time of 2:18.88 and was third in the 400 Freestyle (Sarah Crespo, Hunter Isnardi, Gabriela Niculescu, and Lauren Janovsky). Crespo also won the 50 Free and 100 Free, Lauren Janovsky was 3rd in the 100 Backstroke and Hunter Isnardi was 3rd in the 100 Breast Stroke at the Conference finals.
