The Hicksville Water District recently announced Nicholas Brigandi’s re-election as a member of the Board of Water Commissioners. Serving his 11th consecutive term on the board, Brigandi has led several initiatives including infrastructural improvements and increasing environmental awareness in the District.
“I am grateful for the ongoing support from the community,” said Brigandi. “I will continue working towards providing residents the highest quality water at the lowest rates.”
Brigandi has been a Hicksville resident his whole life. In addition to serving on the Hicksville Water District Board since 1980, he is a Community Council Director and member of the Hicksville Chamber of Commerce. Brigandi was previously the Sergeant of Arms of the Hicksville Fire Department and served as Chairman on the department’s Finance Committee, Welfare Committee and Labor Day Parade and Drill Committee.
“I look forward to working alongside my fellow commissioners as we strive to improving service, water quality and infrastructure,” added Brigandi.
Brigandi will be inducted into the board during the public meeting on Jan. 14.
