All of the effort put forth by Shine Hair Salon at 51 Main Street to create the most eye catching window display made it the winner of this year’s Chamber of Commerce window decorating contest.
wit & whim, at 6 Carlton Avenue, was a close second, and third place was a tie between Gino’s Pizza at 48 Main Street and White + One at 309 Main Street.
The Chamber’s judges were Sean Beckert of Falconer Florist and Jessica Haas of Port Washington Florist. Thirty-five stores entered the contest and the judges used a scale from 1 to 100. They looked for such things as creativity and overall appeal. Shine Hair Salon received a perfect score of 100.
The three winners in the honorable mention category were: Alper’s Hardware at 81 Main Street, Hair Studio at 143 Main Street, and Impulse Boutique at 29 Main Street.
Winners received a plaque from the Chamber of Commerce.
