Nassau County police are looking for the person who left the scene after hitting and seriously injuring a pedestrian on Northern Boulevard in Roslyn on Dec. 23.
Police say the 51-year-old male victim was crossing northbound on Northern Boulevard at 6:05 p.m. when he was struck by a navy blue, late model Mercedes Benz that was traveling eastbound on Northern Boulevard. The driver continued without stopping and the victim was taken to an area hospital with a head injury.
The vehicle sustained front end damage and is missing the driver side view mirror.
