The Manhasset High School Marching Band completed its exciting fall season with their performance at the US Bands Eastern Championship in Allentown, PA on Nov. 9.
Led by senior and drum major Dan Meyer, the band played selections from the hit musical Les Miserables. Scoring their highest this fall at 88.47 and coming in ninth among 18 Group 1A bands, MHS Director of Bands Randy Knudsen said he was “really pleased with the band’s performance” at the event.
Assisting Mr. Knudsen in band direction were David Van Boxel and Hector Minaya along with Mrs. Sandi Baskin, color guard instructor. While the marching band competition season is now over, the band will be in the Memorial Day Parade in May.
