Joanna Marie Cutler, former longtime resident of Port Washington, died Wednesday, Jan. 8, at her residence in Palm Coast, FL. She was born in Manhattan and raised by her mother, Alexandra Trochanis Politis, and stepfather, Andrew Politis.
Mrs. Cutler had been an elementary school teacher at North Shore and Port Washington school districts. She was co-director, along with her husband, of the Port Summer Camp for many years.
Predeceased by her parents and her brother, Anthony C. Coulapides, U.S.N. Retired, of California, she is survived by her husband of 53 years, Stan Cutler; son, Stan Cutler (Tammy); daughter, Alyssa Cutler; and four grandchildren: Jillian Sills (Ryan), Nicole Anderson and Robert and Thomas Cutler.
Funeral services were held Jan. 11 at Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Daytona Beach, Father Joseph Samaan officiated. Interment was at Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens, Flagler Beach, FL.
