Northside Family Reading Night
On Jan. 22, the Northside Elementary School will be holding Family Reading Night at the Farmingdale Public Library at 7 p.m.
How To Successfully Start A Small Business
On Jan. 22, Farmingdale State College’s Small Business Development Center will host a presentation on the basics of business. The event will be held from 9-11 a.m. inside the Campus Commons at 2350 Broadhollow Rd. Registration is $12.

Concerned Citizens Association of Farmingdale
On Jan. 23, the Concerned Citizens Association of Farmingdale will meet at 7:30 p.m. at Allen Park, located at 45 Motor Ave., for a discussion on its two-phase plan for a 22-acre expansion to Allen Park. Several Town of Oyster Bay officials will attend the meeting to address what’s been done and what’s to come to the park.
Community Summit Meeting
On Jan. 23, the Farmingdale Community Summit will meet at the Farmingdale Public Library at 7 p.m.
Fire Commissioner Meeting

Taste of St. Luke’s
On Jan. 25, from 7-9:00 p.m., St. Luke’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, located at 145 Prospect Street in Farmingdale, invites you to sample some culinary delights at its Taste of St. Luke’s fair. Admission costs $20 per person, and includes appetizer, entree, dessert, coffee, tea, soda and a wine and beer tasting. There will also be raffle baskets and prizes for the chefs.

Hawaiian Luau
On Jan. 31, St. Luke’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, located at 145 Prospect Street in Farmingdale, is throwing a Hawaiian Luau night from 7-10:00 p.m. inside Fellowship Hall. The event is open to all ages and includes a dinner buffet, dessert, beverages and professional Hawaiian Entertainment. Admission is $15 for adults, and $7 for children under 18-years-old. Children under 5 are free.

Souper Bowl of Caring
On Feb. 2, Farmingdale United Methodist Church will be participating in the Souper Bowl of Caring, a day when young people around the U.S. give love to neighbors in their community and all-around the world. FUMC youths will collect $1 bills and cans of soup after services on Sunday.
Scout Sunday
On Feb. 2, St. Kilian’s Roman Catholic Church will hold a special mass at 9:30 a.m. to present local Tiger, Wolf, Bear and Webelo Cub Scouts with with religious emblem badges for those who have completed their emblem workbooks.
