The owner of a Jericho restaurant was arrested on Jan. 26 after more than $400,000 worth of damage was discovered inside.
Police say 57-year-old Sung Hee Lee of Queens, who owned and operated Aozora Restaurant on Jericho Turnpike, was recently ordered to vacate the property.
When the 74-year-old owner of the building that Aozora occupied went inside, police say he discovered extensive damage to the interior. When police entered the building they discovered and arrested Lee inside.
Lee is charged with criminal mischief and an order of protection was issued against him. He will appear again in court on Jan. 29.
