Students Win Four Medals In Olympiad

Thirty students from the Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District’s John F. Kennedy High School recently participated in the Science Olympiad East Nassau Regional Competition. The Plainview-Old Bethpage High School Science Olympiad team won medals in four events. Nikki Almer and Jordan Lewis earned fourth place in the astronomy category, Elizabeth Varghese and Alma Wang placed fourth in chemistry lab, Mustala Ansari and Brian Lau earned fifth place in experimental design and Susan Huang and Illana Luther won fourth place in Green Generation. The JFK students were among 41 high schools who competed in 22 rigorous-based challenges.
