Speed Dating
7 in Heaven will be holding a speed dating event at Mio Posto Italian Restaurant, at 600 W Old Country Rd., in Hicksville. Meet 10 to 12 dates in a fun filled night. Starting at 8 p.m., for women 38 to 49 years old and men 40 to 52 years old. Cost is $38 which includes one free drink and appetizers. $28 if you bring a friend. Must pre-pay. My First Movies is a fun, interactive playdate for toddlers at Broadway Mall. Hosted live by the character, Miten the Kitten, the event is filled with singing, dancing and education elements. Wellness Fair
There will be a wellness fair at Hicksville High School from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Mardi Gras Event
St. Ignatius Loyola Parish will have a mardi gras party from 6 to 9 p.m. at Monsinor Tarrant Hall. There will be food, games, a DJ and raffles. Attendees are welcome to come in costume. $5 per person, $20 per family. Children under five are free. British War Veterans Dance
The British War Veterans of America Inc. will be having a dance from 7 to 11 p.m. at VFW Hall at 320 South Broadway. All are welcome to enjoy coffee, cake and dancing to the Vic Vincent Group. Admission is $15. For more information call 516-739-0698.

Literacy Nassau ESL and Citizenship Classes
Classes will be held in the “Teen Center” located on the lower level of the Library. Classes run Mondays and Wednesdays until March 26. Tax Grievance Workshop
Legislator Rose Marie Walker will be holding property assessment grievance workshops for any homeowner who disagrees with the new tentative property tax assessment as shown on their Nassau County Property Tax Impact Disclosure Notice. During the workshop, homeowners will learn exactly how to fill out this simple application. AARP Tax Aide
AARP Foundation Tax-Aide is a volunteer-run tax assistance and preparation service available to low and middle income taxpayers (about $60,000 or less) with special focus on seniors. Photo identification is required. Please bring all necessary forms, 1099s, W2 statements and last year’s tax return to your appointment.The tax help will be held in the Teen Center. Tax preparation is by appointment only. Appointments will be given at the following time increments: 1:15 p.m.; 2:15 p.m.; 3:15 p.m.; and 4:15 p.m. every Tuesday until April 15. Space is limited.

Spanish with Miss Lupe
Children in kindegarten through fifth grade can sign up to learn Spanish with Miss Lupe. The advanced class is at 10 a.m., the beginners class is at 11 a.m. Session dates are Saturdays March 8, 15, 29, April 19, 26 and May 3, 10, and 17

Tiny Tots Storytime
There are still spaces available for this 20 minute session of songs and stories for young children. For children ages two and three with their caregiver. Session dates are March 10, 17 and 24 at 11 a.m.

PlayHooray-Baby and Me
Register now for this class for babies six to 18 months. This 45 minute program is a lively introduction to nursery rhymes, books, music and movement, complete with song and dance. Session dates are March 11, 18 and 25 at 10 a.m.
Jump For Joy
Children one and a half through five years old are invited to jump for joy as they play along to popular songs. Sessions dates are Tuesdays, March 11, 18 and 25 at 7:15 p.m.
