Meghan Paola of Bethpage High School recently received the Go APE Award from the Art League of Long Island.
Paola’s soft pastel work, “Untitled, was honored as one of the top 14 works in the Art League’s Advanced Placement Student Exhibition. Now in its seventh year, the program celebrates exceptional artwork of AP art students in Long Island high schools, as selected by their teachers.
Paola’s work was exhibited in the Art League’s Jeanie Tengelsen Gallery in Dix Hills from Feb. 7 through 14, with a reception on the closing evening.
The 165 students participating in the exhibit represented 47 high schools.
