Farmingdale residents Regina and Jim Broten ventured out with their skis to Bethpage State Park this weekend to enjoy what they love most, skiing and snow.
The cross country skiers come to the park frequently to slide up and down the trails together, and they never get tired of it.
“It is like being in a winter wonderland,” Regina said, “How can you live here and not do this?”
Even though they ski often, they are far from being professionals.
“We absolutely love skiing, but we do it strictly for fun. We are recreational skiers, and we are lucky to be getting all of this great snow to do what we love,” Regina Laughed.
Bethpage State Park is located at 99 Quaker Meeting House Rd. in Farmingdale. Cross country skiing and sleigh riding are available with snow cover through March 31.
