Record Turnout At Runner’s Edge Winter Fun Run

On an uncharacteristically beautiful, Feb. 23, the local running community responded in a big way. Between 450 and 500 people showed up at the Runner’s Edge in Farmingdale for the annual Winter Fun Run co-sponsored by the Runner’s Edge and the Greater Long Island Running Club.

Participants of the Fun Run enjoyed their choice of either a three, five-and-a-half, or nine mile run, followed by bagels, juice and coffee back at the store. A raffle was also held and, of course, there was a sale, as Bob Cook and the gang at the Runner’s Edge tried to clear the decks of all their Winter inventory.
