Syosset-Woodbury Road shut down in both directions between South Woods and Cold Spring Roads and service was suspended on the Port Jefferson Branch Tuesday morning, after a pedestrian was struck and killed by a train on the Long Island Rail Road Tracks in Syosset.
The person was struck east of the Syosset LIRR station at 6 a.m. No further information on the victim has been released.
