North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth visited the Saddle Rock Elementary School on March 6 to participate in their recycling efforts.

As a participating school district in North Hempstead’s School Recycling Partnership Program, the Saddle Rock School weighs the recyclables collected on Thursday of each week. More than 150 pounds of paper and 50 pounds of plastic bottles were gathered to be recycled.

While visiting, Supervisor Bosworth also spoke to the class about the Town’s role in the snow removal process. North Hempstead’s School Recycling Partnership Program has more than 40,000 students from nine school districts in 49 buildings.
