The results of the Farmingdale Village elections are in, and local voters have reelected incumbent trustees Cheryl Parisi and Patricia Christensen to another four year term in office.
According to Village Administrator Brian Harty, the results show Christensen received 508 votes, to hold onto her seat on the board.
“I very much appreciate the support from our residents of the work the Village Board is doing and am extremely grateful that I have been given the privilege to serve for the next four years,” Christensen said.
Since village elections go to the highest two vote getters, the other board incumbent, Parisi, faced off against challenger Craig Rosasco.
Based on the results, Parisi received 496 votes—approximately 100 more than Rosasco, who received 397.
“I am proud and honored to be reelected to serve the Village I love for the next four years,” Parisi said. “Village residents have come out, showing their support by casting their vote, recognizing the direction that the team of Mayor Ralph Ekstrand, Trustees Pat Christiansen, Cheryl Parisi, Bill Barrett and Tom Ryan are guiding the Village towards.”
In an uncontested race, Village Justice Hon. Salvatore Nicosia won his bid for reelection with 580 total votes.
