Catherine V. Salerno passed away on March 2, at the age of 88.
Beloved wife of the late Albert C. Loving mother of Albert, Catherine Duffy (John), and James (Jean).
Cherished grandmother of Christopher, Ashley, and Robert. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Catherine was a lifelong Port Washington resident and a longtime Port Washington School District employee. She loved her job, especially the children.
Catherine was an active parishioner of St. Peter’s Church, working with children with disabilities in religious instruction. She was also a Eucharistic Minister.
Mass of Christian Burial was held on March 6. Catherine was laid to rest at Nassau Knolls in Port Washington. Funeral arrangements were handled by Knowles Funeral Home.
