Holbrook Home Invasion Trio Impersonated Officers, Cops Say

Three men wearing badges who identified themselves as police handcuffed a man during a Holbrook home invasion in which the suspects stole cash nearly two weeks ago, Suffolk County police said Wednesday.

The trio forced their way into the home on Donald Street on March 14, police said. They fled in a white or gray Lincoln or Mercury four-door sedan with chrome rims.

Sixth Squad detectives released a sketch of one of the suspects, who was described as 6-feet, 3-inches to 6-feet, 4-inches tall, in his 30s, 280 pounds with a shaved head and a chinstrap brown beard.

Police ask anyone who recognizes the man in the sketch or with information about this crime to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-220-TIPS.  All calls will be kept confidential.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
