Chef Tyler Reinhart, a representative of Johnson and Wales University, visited the culinary arts students at Gerald R. Claps Career and Technical Education Center in Levittown. During the day, Chef Reinhart taught the future chefs how to prepare sweet potato dumplings.
In addition to making a wonderful side dish, the students interested in continuing their education in the food services field received the opportunity to speak to Chef Reinhart about the university’s educational offerings. G.C. Tech has an articulation agreement with
Johnson and Wales University, providing seniors with nine college credits upon enrollment in the school’s program.
