Schreiber girls’ softball teams are hosting the Strike Out Cancer event on Friday, April 25, to draw awareness and raise funds for the American Cancer Society.
The event will take place at the PAL field located at Sunset Park on Main Street in Port Washington. Everyone is encouraged to attend. The festivities kick off at 4:30 p.m. as the Weber eighth grade softball team plays a game.
Then, at 7 p.m., the 2013 undefeated conference champion Schreiber girls varsity softball team will take to the field to challenge Valley Stream High School North.
Food, drinks, baked goods, various raffle items and t-shirts will be available for purchase with the proceeds going towards the American Cancer Society.
