Perfect spring weather brought out families to the Sands Point Preserve to take part in its “Spectacular Springtime,” a day for Port Washington residents and area visitors to come together.
Parents and children of all ages enjoyed arts and crafts, petting rabbits and chinchillas, hunting for eggs on the Dino Trail, as well as planting seeds for take home plants.
This all occurred at arguably one of the most striking places on Long Island. With Long Island Sound as a backdrop and breathtaking architecture dotting the grounds, the preserve was a marvelous place to enjoy the day.
A highlight was the Bubble Mania show where people were amazed and humored by all the different ways bubbles were made. The show ended with a volunteer actually being put in a large bubble.
