Medicare Seminar
The Plainview library presents the A, B, C and D’s of Medicare hospital insurance, outpatient medical insurance, Medicare advantage and prescription drug coverage. At 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium, Steven I. Semryck, an independent sales representative with more than 40 years of experience in health, life and financial services industry, will explore the various Medicare options to help determine the most suitable coverage for any need.
Wednesday Circle
The JCC presents this club, which focuses on social, recreational and educational experiences and needs of the 75-plus generation. This Wednesday Circle features vocalist Ricky Pen from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Ricky Pen is a one of a kind entertainer, singer, musician, actress, dancer and comedienne. She has been dazzling audiences worldwide with her band or as a solo act. Ricky sings in 16 languages in a variety of vocal styles from Edith Piaf to The Beatles, from Broadway to rock, from jazz to country. Free for members and $10 for non-members. Israeli Movie Night
In celebration of the 30th anniversary of Operation Moses, the Mid-Island Y JCC screens Live And Become for Israeli movie night at 7 p.m. The movie revolves around a young boy who isn’t an orphan, but is transported away from his home during Operation Moses at a Sudanese refugee camp in order to honor his mother’s wishes. Free for members and $10 for non-members.
Culture Shock
Grumman Gallery, 500 Grumman Rd. West, Ste. 1 in Bethpage, presents “Culture Shock,” a game-changing exhibition featuring works of various artists including the thought-provoking and intensely satisfying abstract work of Steven Cogle. The event will raise funds for the All Stars Project, Inc., a charity that creates educational and performing arts activities for thousands of underprivileged youth across the country. Game Changers
The Plainview library hosts Game Changers with Dr. Bill Thierfelder presenting “The Salem Witch Trials,” from 2 to 4 p.m. The discussion will explore the beliefs and actions of the Puritans, which led to the trials and death of 19 people in 1692 and 1693.

No-Bake Cakes
This teen program at the Plainview-Old Bethpage Library presents children in grades five through 12 the opportunity to learn the art of no-bake cake making. Tweens and teens will make a delicious no-bake Oreo cheesecake pie and each participant will leave with a seven-inch pie and eight no-bake pie recipes. Event is from 7 to 8:15 p.m. in downstairs meeting room A.

Algebra Regents Review Course
The Plainview library’s Algebra Regents review course is being taught by Mrs. Grosser and will take place May 21 and May 28 from 6:45 to 8:45 p.m. Students are asked to bring a TI-83-84 calculator and a pen and pencil to class. Registration costs $40 at the information desk.

Lions Club Meeting
Serving the Plainview-Old Bethpage and Bethpage communities since, the Lions Club holds dinner meetings on the second Wednesday of every month except July and August. The Lions Club strives to make a difference in local communities and encourages residents to come in and voice their concerns. Babies And BimBam

A 12-step self-help group, offers help and support to those who have clutter problems in their homes or workplace.
