The Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District John F. Kennedy High School Moot Court Club recently won first place at the Nassau County Bar Association Tournament. The students competed against 47 public and private high schools throughout Nassau County, and will compete in the state wide competition on May 18-20, 2014 in Albany.
The Moot Court Club encourages students to become involved in the judicial process and learn about the criminal justice system. The competition featured a mock trial in a real courtroom setting as students acted out the various roles of a trial.
