Suffolk County police are investigating an “incident” in Babylon that apparently forced the local little league to cancel scheduled games at a ball field in the area.
A police spokeswoman would not comment further on the incident. She only said that police were called to Locust Avenue near Carll Avenue at 12:12 p.m. and an investigation is ongoing.
The Babylon Little League posted a message on its Facebook page announcing all of Saturday’s remaining games were canceled “due to police activity.”
Newsday reported that a stabbing prompted police to be called to the area, but the police spokeswoman could not confirm if that was the case.
