Sports Showcase This Sunday

RBA_052914AIf you’re in Manhattan on Sunday, June 1, then the RBA Sports Showcase at Basketball City NYC is the place to be to watch some of the future stars of the NBA. 

East Hills resident B.J. Bass is managing partner of RBS Sports. Roslyn Heights resident George Beamon, who recently completed an All-Star career at Manhattan College, will be one of the many prospects in competition.

Bass helped Beamon get into Manhattan after the latter had enjoyed a successful four years at Roslyn High School, where Beamon holds most of the school’s scoring records.

Here is a partial list of free agent players scheduled to attend:

Kyle Hunt (Austin Toros), Vernon Goodridge (Golden State Warriors Training Camp), Phil Jones (Minnesota Timberwolves Training Camp), Orion Outerbridge (Sioux Falls Skyforce), Akeem Ellis (Rio Grande Valley Vipers), Isaiah Wilkerson (Tulsa 66ers) and Rashad Bishop (Milwaukee Bucks Summer League).

Draft eligible prospects scheduled to attend include:

Orlando Sanchez (St. John’s), Branden Frazier (Fordham), George Beamon (Manhattan), Adam Kemp (Marist), Zeke Upshaw (Hofstra), Halil Kanacevic (Saint Joseph’s) and Naofall Folahan (Wagner).
