Global Studies Regents Review
Mr. Horun heads up the Global Studies Regents Review Course downstairs at the Plainview library from 6:45 until 8:45 p.m. Registration costs $40 at the information desk.
How To Be An eBay Seller
The Plainview-Old Bethpage Library hosts an event at 7 p.m. to teach attendees all about selling items on eBay. Presented by Sharper Training Solutions, the seminar will show how to set up an account, how to describe for sale items, how much to charge, how to get photos online and much more. The Mid-Island Y JCC presents a Y’s Guys program intended for men looking to socialize. Tired of watching your wife go out to lunch with her friends leaving you to fend for yourself? All About Shavout
The Mid-Island Y JCC will host community members for this fun and informative event. Shavout is the day the Jewish people received the Torah. Attendees will make blintzes to eat for dinner, learn about the Ten Commandments and decorate a Star of David. Event is $15 for members and $25 for non-members. Lions Club Meeting
Serving the Plainview-Old Bethpage and Bethpage communities since, the Lions Club holds dinner meetings on the second Wednesday of every month except July and August. The Lions Club strives to make a difference in local communities and encourages residents to come in and voice their concerns. Clutterers Anonymous
A 12-step self-help group, offers help and support to those who have clutter problems in their homes or workplace. Meets at the following locations: Thursdays, 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, 265 Asbury Ave., Westbury first and third Friday, 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the School of the Community Reformed Church, 90 Plandome Rd., Manhasset.
