On Friday, May 23, Sewanhaka High School, in conjunction with the United States Marine Corps, hosted a Military Career Exploration day. The day provided students enrolled in the Career and Technical Education Program, along with Advanced Placement classes, an opportunity to meet Marines from various career fields, and learn about how the Marine Corps can provide opportunities to students.
Along with ground personnel, the Marines landed five aircraft onto the Sewanhaka football fields for the event. The aircraft included two CH-53 SuperStallion helicopters, two AH-1 Super Cobra helicopters, and one V-22 Osprey, a tilt-rotor aircraft.
Sewanhaka students and community members present at the event were awestruck by the landings.
