On May 23, the T-Storms were on the North Shore, yet there were a hurricane of runs as Changing Times Pub improved to 4-1 beating a very tough and gritty La Corte Family Auto 26-9. The first few innings started as a pitcher’s duel with very few runs scored. But the 6th inning is when Hurricane CT began to take shape by scoring 8 runs led by Dave Thorburn (6-6) 2 RBI’s and Jimmy Cullen (4-5) with 5 runs scored. But that’s wasn’t all as the eye of the storm came through with another 4 runs in the 7th and another 8 runs in the 8th. Thanks to Joe Stephan (4-4) and our SS Larry Ortolani making diving stops and going (4-6) 3 RBI’s. But the game ball goes to Dave Chametzky for coming out of the bullpen and going (3-5) 1 RBI and holding a very offensive team like La Corte to only 9 runs.
Bar-Boy beat Moby Drugs 19 to 7. B-B came out strong with 10 runs in the 3rd inning + 2 in the 1st to lead 12 to 2 at that time. BB kept on chipping away with a few more runs during the next 4 innings. Frank Badalamenti went 3 for 5 with a homer, a triple and 3RBIs, Ken Kuzma went 4 for 5 with 3RBIs, Ken Kohlmann went 3 for 4, Tom Debona went 3 for 5 with 2RBIs, Darrin Simons went 3 for 4+2RBIs, Jason Cinnelli only team member who went 4 for 4, John Czarnecki went 3 for 4 and Steve Rose came back off disabled list and went 2 for 4-great start. On a side note: Sebby Raspanti showed up playing about 40 lbs. less and looked great.
