The Farmingdale School District is pleased to announce that 14 performing ensembles went to the NYSSMA (New York State School Music Association Festival) Large Organization Festival for an objective evaluation of their skills. After months of diligent work, each group performed three musical selections at a specific level of difficulty. The NYSSMA judges from all parts of New York state scored the groups on rhythm, intonation, phrasing, dynamics, interpretation, tone and musicianship. Farmingdale’s administrators are very proud of the teachers’ and students’ achievements.
