This spring, all 24 Roslyn Career & Financial Management students earned their Financial Literacy Certification. Roslyn High School had a 100 percent passing rate with the W!SE Financial Literacy Coalition. Four students received the Financial Literacy Scholar Award for outstanding performances on the W!SE Financial Literacy Exam, including Jason Litt. Andrew Katz, Matthew Katz, and Tyler Solomon earned a 100 percent on the exam.
Students who pass this national test are awarded a Financial Literacy Certificate indicating that he/she has met current national standards for knowledge of personal finance. There are four sections to the test including; Money & Personal Finance, Banks & Banking, Credit, and Insurance & Investing.
The success of the students made Roslyn preserve its title as a “Blue Star School” for the fourth year running and will likely secure us a place in the top 100 schools again this year, said teacher, Jennifer DiPietro.
