The Herricks Middle School eighth-grade baseball team recently completed its undefeated season, finishing 10-0. The squad was comprised of high character student athletes who played the game “the right way” – hard; were solid defensively, and supported one another throughout the season. The boys learned a great deal about perseverance and just how difficult the game of baseball is.
The team was coached by Dennis Conroy and included John Bono, Dominic Carella, Jordan Chin, Matt Collins, Eric DelValle, Kyle Haase, Thomas Haug, Jordan Idaspe, Andrew Imperatore, Mike Lee, CJ Marciano, Mike Marcy, Max Moreno, Dominick Piccirillo, Ryan Slattery, Mike Toohig and Mike Gao.
