Syosset Truck In Crash That Killed Winery Owner

Marco Borghese, owner of Long Island winery Castello di Borghese, died on June 30 after police say he failed to navigate a curve in the roadway” and collided head-on with a delivery truck owned by Southern Wine & Spirits of Syosset on Route 25A in Wading River at approximately 3:30 p.m.

The driver of the truck and his passenger were not injured. Borghese’s death comes just days after his wife, 55-year-old Ann Marie Borghese, died after battling cancer for the past year.
