A bid for Capital improvements, site work and abatement work in the Roslyn School district through a General Construction Contract was awarded to Baruti Construction Corporation at recent board meeting.
The total amount awarded was $1,794,500 for construction projects in each of the district’s schools. Some of the projects include maintenance to the high school track and fencing around the perimeter of the high school.
KJB Industries of Riverhead, was awarded a bid of $138,831 for site work at the high school. The company will be providing all of the necessary building systems and materials for the school’s track resurfacing and striping. A review by the school district’s architectural firm, KG&D Architects found that KJB Industries has done similar track projects in the region.
Abatement work for the former rifle range at East Hills Elementary was awarded to the lowest bidder, JBH Environmental Corporation of Garden City Park for the amount of $264,576.60.
