The Village of Floral Park’s Summer of Stars 2014 Big Band Extravaganza will be held on Friday, Just 25 at 7 p.m. at Memorial Park. 25-piece band, playing authentic music of the 40s to contemporary favorites. Bring your own chair.
The Magic & Comedy of Jim McClenahan will perform on Friday, July 25 at 10:30 a.m. at Elmont Road Park in Elmont and again at 1:30 p.m. Rath Park in Franklin Square as part of the Town of Hempstead Children’s Summer Shows series.. On Tuesday, July 29 at 8:45 p.m. the film Million Dollar Baby plays at the Clark Botanic Garden in Albertson as part of the Town of North Hempstead’s free summer film series. The Floral Park Board of Trustees will hold a regular meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 5 at 8 p.m. at village hall, 1 Floral Blvd.
The Floral Park Fire Department will hold its annual picnic on Wednesday, Aug. 6 at the Floral Park Pool in a private event. The pool will close to the public at 4:30 p.m. The pool will be open to fire department members from 6 to 11 p.m.
Elvis is back as part of the village’s Summer of Stars 2014 series. Tommy J. Walker and The Michael Ventimiglia Band perform all the greatest hits of Elvis at Memorial Park on Friday, Aug. 8 at 7:30 p.m. Bring your own chair.
The library board meeting will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 13 at the Floral Park Public Library at 7:30 p.m.

Provides free transportation to and from medical appointments for senior citizens who are residents of the Floral Park/Bellerose area and cannot afford cab fare or who have no other means of transportation.
