Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth would like to remind residents that the Town Building Department temporary reconciliation period will expire on December 31, 2014.
This program allows residents to avoid the four times permit fee that would normally be incurred for construction, improvements and alterations done without proper permits and inspections.
“This program is aimed at keeping our residents safe while giving them an incentive to bring their homes up to code,” said Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth. “We encourage residents to take advantage of this program before the end of this year.”
The temporary reconciliation program was announced in July 2012 and extended in January 2014.
