Traffic on Jackson Avenue in Syosset came to a halt Saturday evening, as the Tony & Sons Festival Band took to the streets along with local scouts, clergy and parishioners, and marched to the Syosset LIRR station for St. Edward Confessor Church’s annual festival.

Crowds of families gathered every day from Aug. 7 to 10 for carnival rides, games, raffles, food, pony rides, live music, a 5K race in honor of Sister Jacqueline Walsh and fireworks. A prayer and blessing was delivered to all in attendance at the Prayer Tent and then visitors scattered throughout the grounds to enjoy the festivities.
