The vendors change each year but some stalwarts have established themselves as regulars. The Orchard of Conklin’s in Pomona, N.Y. is a regular fixture at the market, selling farm fresh fruits, eggs, honey and baked goods as is Terry from Orient who sells farm fresh vegetables. These two vendors anchor each end of the farmer’s market as stalwart bastions of the event. Ethel Terry is the creator behind the Long Island Grower’s Market.
Vendors vary from week to week, but fresh fish is always available from Meridith of Merken Fisheries. Merken Fisheries is a family owned and operated commercial fishing business. And bread is always fresh from Orwashers.
The breads, the pickles, relish, goat cheese, coffee, gluten-free brownies and more.
Beautiful, hardy plants are profusive from White Post Wholesale Growers from Huntington, These plants are typically sold to landscapers but are available to the general public on Wednesdays.
From pasta to petit fours, preserves, home made sauce and salad dressing, the market is constantly changing and bringing in new and exciting, fresh products including soaps and new ideas.
