Roslyn residents who discover incidences of graffiti in the area are being urged to contact the Town of North Hempstead’s 311 Call Center.
“Reporting graffiti to 311 will enable members from the Town’s Public Safety Department to deal appropriately with the matter,” said Supervisor Judi Bosworth. “This in turn, will allow the town to follow up with each case individually and issue the necessary notice of violations.”
According to the town code, those who are responsible for creating graffiti are liable for the cost of its removal. In addition, it is the responsibility of any individual deemed the owner or occupying the residence to remove or cover graffiti even if the owner or occupant was not responsible for creating the graffiti.
