Local boy Scout leaders and Boy Scouts will be providing information about local scouting programs and activities on Sept. 15 and 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Westbury Memorial Public Library. Leaders and scouts will be available to meet parents and young people to introduce them to local neighborhood scouting activities, council programs and to assist families in the application process to become Cub Scouts or Boy Scouts.
The membership drive will be hosted by the NC Theodore Roosevelt Council of Boy Scouts of America. This recruiting initiative gives Nassau County boys and their families an opportunity to learn first-hand about the broad scope of activities scouting offers and the benefits of joining Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. Libraries across Nassau County will be hosting similar events. Families that cannot make these events can visit www.beascout.org any time for information and local community contact.
