PAL Flag Football Report

The 2014 Farmingdale Flag Football season kicked off with a blast on Sept. 7.

3rd Grade Division

The Texans and the Jets played a great opening weekend game, with the Texans getting the victory.  For the Texans, touchdown pass from Joseph Spano to Jaxon Parisi with 20 seconds in the half broke a tie that the Jets never came back from.  The Jets were led by Brendan O’Keefe, who had two rushing touchdowns and Jimmy Caputo, who picked off a pass at the goal line.

4th Grade Division

The Giants lost a hard fought battle with the 49ers on Sunday. Despite the loss, the Giants showed resilience in several areas that took this game down to the final minutes.  Conner Kennedy and Paul Anderson co-led the offense behind the center by sharing QB duties and each throwing TD passes.  Josh Behar was a triple threat as he ran for a TD, caught a pass for a TD and even threw the ball.  Alex Retselas continued to confuse the defense out of the slot position throughout the game and reeled in a nice catch.  Jason Chung provided added spark with a nifty run in the first half.  On the defensive side, Robert Rowland and Derek Angarita provided pressure on the QB throughout the game and Sebastian Caso and Kyle Mullen added lock down coverage on their assignments.
