Music At The Y
The Mid-Island Y JCC, 45 Manetto Hill Rd., welcomes those ages 75-plus to its Wednesday Circle, for a program focusing on social, recreational and educational experiences and the needs for a certain generation. This week, the Y welcomes keyboardist and vocalist Everett Greenberg from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The program is for those ages 75-plus, and is free for members, $10 for non-members. Mental Health
The Mid-Island Y JCC welcomes community members ages 65 and up to a special Thursday Circle program from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. This week, the Y presents the Mental Health Players for a program featuring social and educational activities for those wishing to meet new friends and develop new interests. Program is free for JCC members and $10 for non-members. There will be a bagel lunch for $2.

Sheri Miller In Concert
The Plainview library hosts critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Sheri Miller for an afternoon of beautiful love songs starting at 3 p.m. Miller sings and plays soulful and catchy songs while accompanying herself on guitar. She also enjoys playing popular classics from varied artists such as Louis Armstrong, Judy Garland, Bruce Springsteen, The Beatles and more, to delight and entertain her audience.
Robotics At The Library
The Plainview library presents this program for tweens and teens in grades five through 12. Attendees will construct salt water cars while they learn about new forms of clean energy. Event is from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in downstairs meeting room A.

PSAT/SAT Prep Course
The Plainview library invites teens in grades 10 through 12 to this PSAT/SAT test preparation course from 6:45 to 8:45 p.m. This course is taught by state certified teachers and subject specialists. Students are asked to purchase McGraw-Hill Education SAT, 2015 Edition (ISBN: 978-0071831932) prioar to the first session. In addition, a notebook, pen or pencil and a calculator will be needed at each session. A non-refundable check for $85 made payable to the Plainview-Old Bethpage Public Library will be required at the time of regisatration. Course takes place in downstairs meeting rooms A and B. White House Concerts
The Plainview library presents a musical evening with the Serendip Piano Trio as they perform JFK and the White House Concerts at 8 p.m.
The Serendip Trio, featuring Alexander Wu on piano, Christina Liberis on violin/viola and Hwa Lee on cello, recreates diverse music including historical moments and stories at the White House Concerts during the Kennedy administration. The group will perform classical, jazz, Latin, bluegrass and film selections.
St. Margaret’s Fall Fair
Residents are invited to the Episcopal Church of St. Margaret, 1000 Washington Ave., for the annual fall fair from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Attendees can expect vendors, crafts, grand-prize raffles, pumpkins, gift baskets, children’s activities, bouce house, baked goods, attic treasures, food and more.

Annual Crystal Ball Gala
The Hospice Care Network will host its 21st Annual Crystal Ball Gala featuring Casablanca Night at the Glen Head Country Club on Friday, Nov. 14 from 7 p.m. to midnight. Frank J. Sciame, Jr., president and CEO of F.J. Sciame Construction Co., will be the honoree and recipient of the George W. Frank Chairman’s Award. He founded Sciame Construction in 1975, leading the firm to its current position as one of the tri-state’s (NY-NJ-CT) leading construction management firms, with current projects underway valued at over one billion dollars.
Guests will enjoy an extended cocktail hour, passed hors d’oeuvres with gourmet food stations, open bar, strolling dinner small plates, dessert displays, entertainment, music, dancing and silent auction.
