Yard sale announced

 

The Garden City Bird Sanctuary/Tanners Pond Environmental Center recently announced its annual Fall Benefit Yard Sale. The sale will be held on Saturday, Oct. 4, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., located outdoors inside the front gate at the sanctuary. Vendors are being sought. A 10 x 17 foot selling area is $45 for the day. (Includes space for selling & space to park one car next to selling space)

 

Typical items sold are antiques, collectibles, furniture, china, housewares, toys, yard tools, clothing, books, sporting equipment and so much more. There is always something for everyone.  

 

Proceeds from the rentals to sellers will support programs and materials needed at the bird sanctuary. 

 

There will be no rain date. In the event of rain, rental fees will be refunded. 

 

The Garden City Bird Sanctuary main gate is located opposite 181 Tanners Pond Rd. (Denton Avenue), between Stewart Avenue and Jericho Turnpike in Garden City.

The Garden City Bird Sanctuary is a 501(c)3 volunteer organization dedicated to preserving nature. It is open on Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m., and by appointment.
