Nation’s Annual Prescription Drug Take Back Event. Clean out your medicine cabinets of any prescription or over-the counter drugs that may be expired, unused or unwanted and drop them off on Saturday, September 27th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at North Shore University Hospital’s Campus Main Entrance or at the Nassau County Police 3rd Precinct Police Center both on Community Drive in Manhasset.
Studies show that a majority of abused prescription drugs are obtained from family and friends, including from the home medicine cabinet. In 2013, 5.4% of 12th grade Manhasset High School students reported taking a drug without a prescription. Your participation is especially needed to protect our youth (2013 Bach Harrison Prevention Needs Assessment Survey).
