Community Council Meeting
The Hicksville Community Council will have a general meeting. The topic will be the new school zone speed cameras, and the guest speaker will be Chris Mistron, Coordinator of the Nassau County Traffic Safety Department. At the Hicksville Community Center, 28 W. Carl Street. 7 p.m.
German Genealogy Group

The Town of Hempstead brings free arts and crafts sessions for children ages five to 12 to Levittown Hall every Saturday. Specially trained recreation instructors will guide youngsters in an exciting and creative process. Parents may only enroll their own children. Proof of age is required. Indoor Garage Sale
St. Ignatius Loyola Parish hosts a huge indoor garage sale. Come see our eclectic mix of pre-loved attic finds, furniture, new kitchen items, plus much more. There will be something for everyone. Everything is priced to sell. The sale will be held in Msgr. Tarrant Hall in the Old School on East Nicholai Street (behind the church) at 129 Broadway. The hall is handicapped accessible. Movie: God’s Not Dead
There will be a screening of the movie God’s Not Dead, about a college philosophy professor whose curriculum is challenged by a new student who believes God exists. At Levittown Hall, 201 Levittown Parkway, Hicksville. $5 donation is requested. Proceeds go towards the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Free popcorn. 3 p.m.

Social and Ballroom Dancing
The Society Tempo Ballroom Club holds dances every Friday afternoon at Kismet Shriners, 18 W. Nicholai St in Hicksville. Enjoy a group lesson, followed by social dance time. Meet and Greet Elsa
Children are invited to come meet the Snow Queen at the Long Island Puppet Theatre, at 10 Heitz Place in Hicksville. There will be a craft, meet and greet, and sing along. Anger Management Course
Family & Children’s Association (FCA) is offering a one-day intensive program for anyone who wishes to understand their anger and learn new ways of coping with it. The cost of the Intensive Anger Management course is $140 plus a $40 workbook fee. The class will be held at 180 Broadway, 2nd floor, Hicksville from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Participation is subject to a brief assessment which must be completed one week prior to the event.
