A golfing squad organized by a Jericho High School senior recently participated in a fundraising effort for the Hispanic Counseling Center.
Cameron Ghazvini, a senior at Jericho and a member of the school’s varsity golf team, recruited fellow classmates and varsity golfers David Paticoff, Jared Sakni and Jonathan Mandel to join the first Golf Classic at Cold Spring Harbor Country Club in Huntington. The boys were sponsored by the senior class at their high school.
Ghazvini raised funds from local retailers such as Kashi Restaurant in Syosset, Love My Jewels in Levittown, Galaxy Luxury Motor Coach in Lindenhurst and Golden Kastle Homes. They also received generous donations from family and friends, which, combined with funds raised from retailers, totaled close to $3,000.
