A Greenvale resident was arrested for criminal firearms and drug possession on Thursday, Oct. 2, Nassau County police reported.
According to detectives, officers received a 911 call on Carl Street, for a man with a gun. When police arrived, they were met by Donald Miller. Detectives said Miller stated he had a rifle in the house and told the officers to go inside and look.
Once inside officers observed in plain view an AK-47, SKS rifle, Marlin rifle, a Colt semi-auto .380 caliber pistol and 7 clear bags containing what is believed to be cocaine, according to police. Miller, detectives said, was placed under arrest without incident. Police also recovered two daggers, one switch blade and ammunition for the Colt handgun.
Miller was charged with eight counts of third degree criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm, second degree criminal possession of a weapon and two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was arraigned on Friday, Oct. 3 at First District Court, Hempstead.
