Long Island went Hollywood for the second time in two weeks when Justin Johnes from Massapequa joined Team Blake on NBC’s popular singing competition “The Voice.”
The 15-year-old chose to sing Passenger’s “Let Her Go” for his blind audition; as his family cheered him on backstage.
After receiving praise from all four coaches, Johnes shocked them even further by revealing that this was his first public performance, and that he was honored to be selected to a team.
If you recognized Johnes, you may have seen him on YouTube, recording covers and originals from his bedroom. His performance of “Let Her Go,” landed him a spot on the iTunes Top Singles chart, with searches for his YouTube videos sure to soar.
Congratulations to Justin Johnes on joining Team Blake! All of Massapequa and Long Island will be rooting for you!
