Sensory Jump Night at Pump It Up
Jump down to Pump It Up from 6-7 p.m. for Sensory Jump Night. During this evening event, the play areas are reserved for kids on the autism spectrum and their families. Kids have a great time meeting new friends, jumping, sliding, and playing with sensory-friendly games in a safe and controlled atmosphere. The event costs $14.95 per child. LIWG Workshop
Long Island Writers’ Guild will hold a workshop at the Bethpage Library from 7-9 p.m. at 47 Powell Avenue, Bethpage. During the workshop, writers read their works-in-progress, and other members offer constructive critiquing. A Catskills retrospective like you’ve never seen, heard, or read before. Larry Strickler educator, entertainer and consummate borscht belt tummler takes you on a century long journey through “the mountains” with an emphasis on his 50 years as a tummler. You will laugh, cry and reminisce as Larry showers you with an audio visual treat complete with photos, film (converted to DVD), singing and audience participation.
