On Oct. 24, come down to the Farmingdale Fire Department at 361 Main St., at 6 p.m. and meet your local volunteers and see the equipment they use.

Farmingdale High School Homecoming
On Oct. 24, come cheer on the Farmingdale High School Dalers varsity football team, at 6:30 p.m., when they will take on the MacArthur High School Generals. A student pep rally will precede the homecoming festivities at 5 p.m. in the High School gymnasium.

Autumn Fair
On Oct. 25, the Hardscrabble Senior Apartments Community Building at 404 Main St. in Farmingdale, will be having an autumn fair, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., which will feature something for every age group, including a “white elephant sale,” baked goods, religious items, a “giant raffle,” and a snack bar.

On Oct. 25, join Long Island Professionals for Patient Safety at Farmingdale Village Hall, 361 Main St., from 2 to 4 p.m., for this presentation all about advance directives, healthcare proxy, DNR/DNI, Choosing Homecare, Palliative Care and hospice. Care at Home, Geri Manginello, RN, Good Shepherd Hospice, Eva O’Brien, RN, Nurse Case Manager and Healthcare Organizer and the Village of Farmingdale Fire Department.

St. Kilian Blood Drive
Come to the St. Kilian Roman Catholic Church Auditorium at 50 Cherry St. in Farmingdale, on Oct. 26, for a community blood drive, from
8 a.m. to noon.
To be eligible to donate, you must be between the ages of 16-75 years, have photo ID, weigh a minimum of 110lbs. and have not been given a tattoo in the past year.

American Scarepower Museum
On Oct. 26, enjoy a safe Halloween at the American Airpower Museum, 1230 New Highway in East Farmingdale, from 4 to 7 p.m. Trick-or-treat in the safety of the haunted hanger or take your picture in the phantom fighter. There will also be scavenger hunts and a contest for the best costume (12 and under). Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and veterans and $5 for children under 12.

Halloween Parade
This Halloween, ghosts and ghouls in the Farmingdale School District will line up for the annual Halloween parade. The parade will start with Saltzman East and Farmingdale High School will at 9:15 a.m., followed by students from Albany Avenue at 9:30 a.m., and Northside and Woodward Parkway students at 9:45 a.m.
